About the position

The Sr. Angular/Front End Developer is responsible for developing and deploying scientific software solutions within the life sciences sector. This role focuses on creating web-based applications that support content curation and the management of scientific databases, ultimately enhancing the efficiency of workflow processes. The position requires a blend of strong software development skills and a foundational understanding of life sciences to deliver impactful results for the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy scientific software solutions for life sciences content curation.
• Create web-based workbenches to support scientific content curation.
• Build new scientific information management systems for custom database curation activities.
• Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and feedback.
• Innovate and continuously improve software solutions to drive efficiencies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript programming languages.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Angular 14 or later in the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience implementing applications using Node.js 16 or later.
• Experience building applications for public cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and AWS DevOps tools (CodeCommit, CDK Pipelines).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with XML is a plus.
