About the position

The Sr. AP/AR Specialist at Astrix Technology is responsible for managing revenue and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and optimizing revenue processes. This hybrid role involves month-end reconciliations, customer credit management, and monitoring payments across various platforms, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end reconciliations for various revenue platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon), ensuring completeness and accuracy while resolving discrepancies.
  • Oversee monthly sales tax and VAT reconciliations for international jurisdictions.
  • Conduct fraud checks, dispute chargebacks, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare weekly accounts receivable aging reports and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Review customer contracts and prepare accounting memos.
  • Perform audit control testing and maintain quarterly sales audit documentation.
  • Assess new customers' creditworthiness and update credit terms in the accounting system.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and make recommendations to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue and accounts receivable management, with a proven ability to implement effective revenue recognition strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers.
  • A willingness to become an expert in our products and industry.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of revenue accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606), emerging technologies, and best practices in month-end closing.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to measure and analyze results.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently with sound judgment.
