About the position

The Sr Application Developer role at Dexian involves developing and maintaining APIs for various business lines within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Architects, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Service Managers, to promote the use of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) best practices. The primary goal is to enhance customer adoption and engagement with the API Management Platform, necessitating strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a solid background in software development within SOA environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs for multiple lines of business.
• Act as an advocate for the API Management platform.
• Work cross-functionally with Architects, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Service Managers.
• Promote SOA best practices focusing on scalability, maintainability, and reuse.
• Accelerate customer adoption and increase customer engagement of the API Management Platform.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in programming, analysis, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, and applications support.
• Practical experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and API Gateways.
• Experience with technologies such as 3Scale, Mulesoft, Apigee Edge, CA Technologies, Tibco Mashery, Axway, and IBM Gateway.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including influence, negotiation, collaboration, and diplomacy.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of SailPoint IIQ, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, or other Identity Management suites.
• Experience in Event Oriented Architecture using messaging.
• Knowledge of application integration services like PaaS, Enterprise Service Bus, and Messaging brokers.
