About the position

The Sr Application Developer role focuses on developing and maintaining APIs for various business lines within an Agile SDLC environment. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to promote the API Management platform, enhance customer engagement, and advocate for SOA best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, along with a solid background in software development, particularly in SOA and microservices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain APIs for multiple lines of business.
  • Act as an advocate for the API Management platform.
  • Work cross-functionally with Architects, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Service Managers.
  • Enable business app developers to utilize SOA best practices.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and increase engagement with the API Management Platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in programming, analysis, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, and application support.
  • Practical experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and API Gateways.
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft, AWS API Gateways, and API Security (oauth, oidc, mTLS).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of SailPoint IIQ, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, or other Identity Management suites.
  • Experience with Event Oriented Architecture using messaging.
  • Knowledge of application integration services like PaaS, Enterprise Service Bus, Messaging brokers.
