About the position

The Senior Application Engineer for Genset, Regulation, and Protection is a critical role focused on providing expertise in gensets and control systems. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and power systems, with a significant emphasis on travel to support client needs across the Central United States. The role involves working with emerging technologies in the power sector and contributing to innovative solutions for power system challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in gensets, automatic voltage regulators, and control systems.
• Travel to client sites to support application engineering needs, approximately 50% of the time.
• Utilize power system simulation and coordination tools to analyze and design solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging power system technologies, including DC power, DERs, IBRs, and BESS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Previous experience with gensets, automatic voltage regulators, and/or control systems.
• Experience with power systems and related technologies.
• Knowledge of power system simulation and coordination tools.
