About the position
Supermicro is looking for experienced Senior Application Engineer who has in-depth knowledge in computer/server architecture. You will be responsible in providing technical support to our enterprise customers as well as promote internal server and GPU products to optimize customer's Hardware solution. The ideal candidate must have strong technical background in server products as well as exceptional communication skill -- ability to interface with all levels of management staffs in a professional manner. This person must be able to troubleshoot and use other tools/software to understand how to solve customer's issue. In this role you will collaborate closely with service teams, sales, design engineers, product managers, warehouse, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction goal is met.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work on AI, GPU and storage related server product lines
- Work directly with customers to identify, troubleshoot, root cause and resolve technical issues including motherboard, server systems, computer peripherals and software problems on the phone, by E-mails and conference calls or in tandem with the onsite service team.
- Work with various internal teams, R&D HW, SW, and production to resolve technical issues
- Continually develop knowledge base of current and new products.
- Acts as the product expert, with deep technical understanding, engaging with both the product support team and development team to provide correct product solutions to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of working experience in computer systems and/or servers
- Technical support in PC/Server industry is a plus
- Strong organizational and well-developed social skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills and onsite support skills
- Strong communication skill in both verbal and written
- Highly analytical, creative, detail oriented, organized, good team player
- Subject Matter Expert in Server/Workstation GPU and storage products
