About the position

The Senior Technical Sales Engineer at Honeywell will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of UOP's integrated solutions within the Hydrotreating & Renewables technology area. This position is essential for the growth of the LST (Lifecycle Solutions Team) by leveraging a strong technical background and business acumen to create compelling value propositions that resonate with customers. The role involves engaging with various stakeholders, including business, sales, technical services, legal, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment and foster profitable business growth. The successful candidate will be expected to connect the dots across different technologies while also delving deep into specific areas of expertise, thereby expanding their technical knowledge and contributing to innovative solutions that meet customer needs. In this collaborative global team environment, the Senior Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for the technical execution of assigned LST opportunities. This includes developing value propositions, preparing technical proposals, and delivering impactful sales presentations that lead to successful sales outcomes. The role requires a thorough understanding of customer drivers and expectations, enabling the engineer to provide tailored technical sales input that enhances customer satisfaction and leads to winning proposals. Additionally, the engineer will be encouraged to identify opportunities for improving internal tools and processes, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team. The position demands a proactive approach, with a minimum of 25% travel expected to engage with customers and stakeholders effectively. Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical execution of assigned LST opportunities through development of value propositions and business cases.
  • Participate in customer discussions to understand their drivers and provide technical sales input.
  • Develop innovative solutions to address customer needs and objectives.
  • Contribute to the global team by suggesting improvements to internal tools and processes.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations in customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in Refining, Petrochemicals or Gas Processing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Hydroprocessing technology experience desirable.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Diversity in experience across UOP and/or industry/plant operations.
  • Experience in different UOP technologies, service, engineering, projects, marketing, or R&D.
