About the position

The Sr. Application Developer will be part of the Americas IT software and architecture team, focusing on business-centric software development and integration of global IT initiatives. This role involves leading and contributing to the development of innovative software solutions that prioritize affordability, reusability, and sustainability. The developer will work in a DevOps environment, addressing complex business challenges through application development, maintenance, and support, while collaborating with business and IT leaders.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders and IT team members to develop state-of-the-art business solutions.
• Learn the core business to anticipate user needs proactively.
• Enhance, support, and maintain new and existing applications.
• Stay updated on new technology developments and contribute ideas for new projects.
• Act as a well-rounded, full-stack developer, utilizing the right tools for each job.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering with a strong passion for technology and business.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent query and design experience in an RDBMS environment such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Experience with full stack web app development including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and server-side components.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to interface with internal business partners, external vendors, and customers from diverse backgrounds using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience developing with the .NET web development stack (ASP.NET, WebAPI, .NET Core, MVC, etc.).
• Experience developing Azure cloud applications using cloud-native technologies such as functions and PaaS.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
• Ability to work independently and set aggressive personal goals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing mobile apps in a write-once-deploy-anywhere approach such as Xamarin/MAUI.
• Prior working experience using modern front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience transforming legacy code to modern cloud applications.
