Full-time - Mid Level
Chelmsford, MA
Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing

About the position

As a Senior RF Applications/Systems Engineer at Qorvo, you will be part of a high-performing engineering team dedicated to developing advanced RF integrated circuits and modules. Your primary focus will be on components such as Power Amplifiers, RF Filters, Antenna Switches, Signal Routing Switches, and Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs). You will engage in application-oriented technical functions that support design wins, ensuring that our products meet the highest performance standards. Your role will involve optimizing receive (RX) and transmit (TX) components to maximize their performance, working closely with design engineering, characterization engineering, and component-level applications engineers. In this position, you will identify end-application considerations, primarily for mobile handsets, to enhance product definition. You will assist in defining tests and conducting hands-on RF tests to verify the performance of standalone components. Additionally, you will participate in system-level impact analysis, utilizing specialized proprietary test systems to emulate cellular handset transceiver operations for RF performance measurement. Your responsibilities will also include collecting, analyzing, and presenting data on various RF performance metrics, such as linearity, ACLR, harmonics, emissions, system noise, coexistence, sensitivity, efficiency, and calibrations/tuning. Moreover, you will support marketing efforts by analyzing current architectures and the competitive landscape, performing competitive analyses that will help marketing determine next-generation product performance targets. Customer support will also be a key aspect of your role, as you will work with our components to measure and optimize the performance of customer systems, ensuring compliance with system requirements for successful integration into customer products. You will be responsible for collecting and presenting data related to our parts in response to customer inquiries.
