About the position

The Sr. Applications Engineer at Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) plays a crucial role in supporting customers with the design and application of LED drivers and LCD bias products. This position involves providing technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from theoretical concepts to datasheet development, and includes performing circuit simulations and bench tests to resolve engineering issues such as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The role also requires participation in workshops, conferences, and meetings to promote new products.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in the design and application of LED drivers and LCD bias products.
• Provide technical support on products from theory to datasheet.
• Perform circuit simulation and bench tests.
• Resolve engineering issues, including EMC.
• Participate in workshops, conferences, and meetings for new product promotion.

Requirements

• Strong system-level knowledge in LED drivers, display backlighting, and DC-DC converters.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design and understanding of schematics and layouts.
• Experience with laboratory equipment for analyzing analog circuits.
• Familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, e-loads, and frequency analyzers.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams across different functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
