About the position
The Sr. Architect (Cloud Catalog) role focuses on designing and scaling Kubernetes platforms, with an emphasis on automation and infrastructure provisioning in cloud environments. This position requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud services, and DevOps practices, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale the Kubernetes platform for large-scale operations.
- Develop and maintain control planes and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) in Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver solutions using DevOps and GitOps methodologies.
- Ensure security and resiliency in cloud architecture.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture and Kubernetes management.
- Advanced understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Golang.
- Experience with DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Cross-Plane for Kubernetes management.
- Knowledge of security concepts, particularly zero-trust design principles.
- Familiarity with SRE and resiliency concepts.
