About the position

The Sr Architect, Educational Programming will lead the design and development of K-12 educational facilities, ensuring alignment with educational trends and standards. This role involves collaborating with educators and community stakeholders to create innovative and sustainable learning environments that enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of K-12 educational facilities.
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for educational programming requirements.
• Collaborate with educators, school administrators, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Incorporate sustainable design practices and innovative technologies.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety codes.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations to educate stakeholders on design concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of experience as an architect.
• Certified as a Professional Registered Architect.
• Experience in managing midsize to large projects.
• Proficient in Revit and other design software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with sustainable/green building practices.
• Familiarity with building analysis and energy modeling.
• Membership in local, state, or national professional organizations.
