About the position

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Architect with extensive experience in AngularJS, Spring Boot, and Java to develop scalable enterprise applications. This role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver high-quality software solutions while ensuring maintainability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding and a commitment to team success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions using Angular JS, Spring Boot, and Java technologies.
• Oversee the integration of Java components to ensure seamless functionality and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for Property & Casualty Insurance applications.
• Develop and implement Java design patterns to enhance the scalability and maintainability of software solutions.
• Ensure the application of advanced JavaScript techniques to improve user experience and application performance.
• Architect and design solutions that leverage Core Java and Java 11 features for optimal performance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (15+ years of experience).
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures.
• Experience with design patterns and architectural styles.
• Strong command of Angular framework.
• Deep understanding of Java programming language, including core concepts, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.) for building robust Java applications.
