CBRE Design Collective is a global design practice of nearly 500 designers, architects, engineers, and technical experts in Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering. In solving our client's needs, we are strengthened by the vast resources and services that comprise the CBRE brand. As a fast-growing firm, we need our contributors to be their best self, showcasing their talents and having fun! We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer with technical and design skills to support and execute all scales of design projects for our Client's Workplace Design Team. This includes the operation, administration and management of workplace design projects from inception through completion in a fast-paced environment. As the primary contact for design, workplace standards, design reconfigurations, signage and wayfinding, and construction coordination for furniture, you will be expected to provide insight and consultation to the client on all aspects of the work. You will collaborate with external architects and designers, General Contractors and Construction Project Managers, Furniture Vendors and internal teams to ensure that each project adheres to global space design and global furniture guidelines. Your role will involve coordinating all aspects of the project, including the budget where required, reviewing, processing, and submitting vendor quotes for furniture orders, scheduling operational needs, procedures, Client's standards, sustainability design, and QA/QC program requirements. You will manage furniture selection for Workplace Design projects and ensure compliance with look and feel and standards, including but not limited to fabric, color, ergonomic compliance, and performance criteria. A detailed review of furniture layout drawings will be part of your responsibilities. You will prepare presentations in Google slides, mark up in Bluebeam, draft new project proposals in CAD, with scope of works, exact furniture pieces, and move coordination from other sites or order new. Working closely with the furniture vendor, you will build a furniture package that aligns with Client's standards while also understanding the needs of the local team. Managing the timeline to ensure timely order placement, tracking costs, coordinating delivery/installation, and managing the furniture punch list close-out will be essential tasks. Additionally, you will process the furniture ticket system (Task) to fill employee and departmental furniture requests, coordinate with project technical teams including Project Architect, Facilities, IT, AV, Environment Health and Safety, Security, and Culinary, and represent Workplace Design at project meetings across regions while managing an internal tracker of project updates. Conducting site audits of existing sites and reporting findings, updating CAD plans, and collaborating with CAFM and MAC teams will also be part of your role.
