About the position

The Senior Architectural Designer at Larson Design Group (LDG) will play a pivotal role in applying intermediate to advanced architectural principles to various projects. This position requires the designer to complete design computations, prepare written technical reports, and create detailed design plans. The Senior Architectural Designer will work autonomously, making significant project decisions based on their expertise and under the approval of their manager. This role does not require licensure, allowing for a focus on design and project execution rather than regulatory compliance. In this position, the designer will be expected to be an expert in all required software, working with minimal supervision from senior staff. The responsibilities include writing specifications, reviewing submittals, coordinating project submissions, and maintaining communication with clients. The designer will also coordinate the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets, ensuring that all technical, administrative, and design staff are aligned on project goals. Quality assurance and quality control are critical components of this role. The Senior Architectural Designer will promote and support these processes to enhance the quality of deliverables and minimize design errors and omissions, which can lead to claims.
