About the position

The Senior Architectural Designer at Larson Design Group (LDG) is responsible for applying advanced architectural principles to design computations, technical reports, and detailed plans. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, making significant project decisions while collaborating with clients and team members. The position emphasizes quality assurance and code compliance, contributing to the overall success of architectural projects.

Responsibilities

• Writes specifications, reviews submittals, coordinates project submission, communicates with clients.
• Coordinates the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets as required for the assigned project.
• Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
• Researches and understands code compliance requirements for assigned projects.
• Independently creates simple standard details required for a project under the guidance of the supervisor.
• Assists with and performs design calculations, calculates quantities, reviews technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Technical discipline preferred.
• Ten (10) + years of Architectural experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivating and able to mentor others.
