About the position

The Sr. Area Innovation Manager for Artificial Intelligence at Medtronic is a field-based sales role focused on promoting the GI Genius platform. This position involves engaging with healthcare executives, hospitals, and physician offices to drive the adoption of Medtronic's AI technologies. The individual will serve as a product expert, responsible for achieving sales quotas, developing solutions to complex problems, and enhancing the integration of Medtronic's GI portfolio into sales processes. The role requires significant travel and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful outcomes for strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by driving product adoption through the delivery of clinical and economic value of Medtronic AI platforms.
  • Maintain expertise in artificial intelligence trends and the competitive landscape to position Medtronic AI platforms as market leaders.
  • Target, convert, and install new GI Genius Accounts at enterprise level MSO/IDN headquarters, Hospitals, and ASCs.
  • Define direction for new products and operational plans based on business strategy with significant impact on work group results.
  • Represent the organization as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives, negotiating and influencing decision-making.
  • Develop the sales and clinical organization in the assigned territory by sharing GI Genius product expertise and achieving product quotas.
  • Provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate product adoption and accelerate sales growth.
  • Establish relationships with healthcare executives, physicians, and KOLs in the territory.
  • Deliver clinical product demonstrations and education to increase customer understanding and proficiency.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities, such as expense reports and sales reports, consistently.

Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree Required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a complex, quota-driven sales role

Nice-to-haves

  • Medical device/equipment sales experience
  • Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting
  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related technical field
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Enterprise level technical sales experience in life science, healthcare, or software (SaaS, PaaS, SaMD)
  • Proven consistent record of accomplishment of sales success
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in O365 suite & Salesforce.com
  • Demonstrated business planning and forecasting excellence
