About the position

The Sr Area Sales Manager for the Midwest Region at Owens Corning is responsible for driving profitable sales growth in the North American Technical Insulation Mechanical business. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, executing sales and marketing initiatives, and providing customer-inspired solutions to help clients grow their businesses. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver unique value propositions and achieve growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically use customer relationships to execute the annual sales plan and help customers achieve success.
  • Drive growth within the building materials industry, providing added value to Owens Corning and customers.
  • Execute pricing strategy and offer customer insights.
  • Grow existing customer accounts while developing new customer opportunities.
  • Utilize market knowledge to leverage strengths and weaknesses for competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in driving results through the entire sales process, from cold calling to closing.
  • Strong listening skills to understand, diagnose, and solve customer problems.
  • Ability to develop and implement a clear customer or territory strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to make persuasive product presentations.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest ethical and moral standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
