About the position

This position is a 2nd shift onsite role at Raytheon, focused on supporting the production floor of the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) in a test engineering capacity. The role involves troubleshooting complex radar systems and developing solutions in a collaborative environment, making it ideal for individuals looking to enhance their technical skills in testing advanced array systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support a fluid production environment in a test engineering role on Array's programs such as SPY-6 and LTAMDS.
  • Troubleshoot complex radar level issues on the production floor and Near Field Ranges.
  • Work from schematics and drawings to understand RF faults and troubleshoot using common test equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis on systemic radar issues and communicate findings to feeder areas and suppliers.
  • Collaborate daily with union technicians throughout the test process.
  • Interact with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control regarding urgent needs in testing.
  • Review system level test data for compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain functionality of test stations by interacting with maintenance/test departments.
  • Develop and update factory test procedures as needed.
  • Work overtime as required to meet production schedules.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • 2 years of production test/troubleshoot experience.
  • 2 years of MATLAB experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience testing complex array systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret failing test data and navigate schematic diagrams to diagnose fault modes.
  • Understanding of radar systems technology in the areas of test and analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of RF test equipment.
  • Experience preparing and executing factory test procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to identify and document anomalies in the radar test process.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with Common PDM and CMES/PRISM.
