About the position

The Sr. Associate, Accounting position at CoreLogic involves managing custodial payment processing for property tax services. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely disbursements to taxing authorities, maintaining financial controls, and participating in audits. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily custodial disbursements to taxing authorities for commercial and residential properties.
  • Ensure daily disbursement and funding balancing and posting.
  • Verify funding and archive balancing and processing material daily.
  • Manage month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Liaise daily with operations, Cognizant, and other internal and external customers.
  • Participate in client, RegAB, and SOX audits as required.
  • Handle full cycle accounts payable processing.
  • Process wire and ACH payments.
  • Conduct 1099 reporting.
  • Participate in the accurate and timely closing of general ledgers on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver results individually and as a key team member in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.
  • Verify funding, report RegAB compliance, and manage outstanding checks reporting.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of related experience (college education may count for related experience).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Strong customer service and listening skills to build customer confidence.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills for document and spreadsheet manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Tenacity for solving detailed/complex issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and good judgment.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to train and provide feedback to others.
