About the position

As a Senior Risk Specialist within the Customer Resiliency Risk Events team, you will engage with a team of risk managers and product/process owners to enhance business efficiency and customer experience. Your role involves diagnosing issues, modifying processes, and executing improvements to prevent future problems while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with leaders to improve Capital One's risk profile and educate stakeholders on process health and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Guide business customers through Risk Event and/or Issue containment and remediation.
  • Work with internal process owners, analysts, tech, and third parties.
  • Analyze and interpret Risk Event and/or Issue results to understand implications and determine corrective actions.
  • Make recommendations and provide guidance to the business.
  • Coordinate, influence, and negotiate to ensure timelines are met and remediation projects progress.
  • Drive investigation and problem-solving for remediation projects.
  • Research and problem-solve as needed to support the business.
  • Drive process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes.
  • Analyze, identify, and correct data issues with systems used or owned by Customer Resiliency and partners.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on processes in projects and meetings.
  • Utilize all Risk Management tools and systems available.
  • Communicate and report results using presentations that show data meaningfully.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management or Risk Management or at least 2 years of experience in Project Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
  • 1+ years of experience in Process or Project management.
