About the position

The Sr. Associate, Program Finance role at L3Harris involves supporting financial management and analysis for various programs within the organization. This position requires collaboration with program managers and engineers to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while contributing to the team's success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop time-phased integrated budgets and schedules under moderate supervision.
  • Ensure compliance and reporting of Earned Value (EV) data.
  • Provide management with early warnings of potential performance issues and identify risks.
  • Conduct budgeting, cost control, variance analysis, and internal/external reporting.
  • Assist in the accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Complete (EAC) data.
  • Create and maintain charge numbers for financial tracking.
  • Analyze costs and personnel to ensure budget adherence.
  • Perform workforce planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Extract and reconcile accounting data for financial accuracy.
  • Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports and graphs.
  • Educate PMO and CAMS on cost and schedule performance through internal reports.
  • Communicate changes to practices and processes within and outside the organization.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and data integrity checks related to program financials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 0 to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of prior program finance experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business financial management techniques including government and commercial contracts.
  • Basic knowledge of Earned Value and EVMS.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Proficient in creating financial forecasts.
  • DoD contractor experience preferred.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and thrive in an inclusive environment.
  • Security Clearance or the ability to attain one is preferred.
