About the position

The Sr. Audit Manager for Treasury/Finance at City National Bank is responsible for managing complex audits across various areas, including financial and operational audits, wealth management, IT audits, compliance audits, and data analytics. This role involves supervising auditors, developing audit plans, maintaining relationships with management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position also emphasizes continuous improvement in audit methodologies and practices through collaboration and the use of data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex audits in financial, operational, wealth management, IT, and compliance areas.
  • Assist in developing audit budget estimates and annual risk assessments.
  • Lead continuous monitoring activities for assigned areas.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with management of auditable units.
  • Track and manage audit resources to meet budget and plan mandates.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to lower-level auditors.
  • Enhance and maintain morale of the audit staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback to lower-level auditors.
  • Review work of others and provide technical training as necessary.
  • Participate in interviews and evaluations of new applicants.
  • Stay informed of new services, products, and regulatory changes affecting audit areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of audit experience.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification (CIA, CISA, CFA).
  • Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
  • 6+ years of experience in Treasury space with Liquidity and/or IRRBB risk management.
  • Experience in a bank regulatory environment.
