About the position

The Auditor CPA / Auditor position at our public accounting firm, which has been providing exceptional services for over four decades and is a proud member of PKFNA, is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional. This role is crucial in assisting with audit engagements and managing the overall audit strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of business processes, identifying relevant risks, and implementing effective controls. This position requires a meticulous approach to the preparation of audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with established reporting objectives. In this role, you will perform various audit tests to evaluate compliance and will be expected to communicate findings effectively. You will brief the Partner and other team members on the results of your research and analysis, preparing written summaries and drafting necessary documents for senior financial auditors and partners. Your expertise will also extend to assisting in the preparation of individual, partnership, trust, and S-corporation tax returns, making this a multifaceted position that offers a blend of auditing and tax preparation responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Assist in audit engagements and manage overall audit strategy.
  • Develop an accurate understanding and documentation of business processes, relevant risks, and controls.
  • Prepare audited financial statements.
  • Perform audit tests to evaluate compliance with reporting objectives.
  • Brief Partner and other team members on the results of research and analysis.
  • Prepare written summaries and draft written products for senior financial auditors and partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of individual, partnership, trust, and S-corporation tax returns.

Requirements

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Experience in public accounting and audit engagements.
  • Strong understanding of GASB, GAAP, and GAS reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings effectively to team members and partners.

  • Experience with tax return preparation for various entities.
