Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an engineer to join our team to collaborate on the design, deployment, and maintenance of distributed architecture systems. This position will assist in the development and implementation of enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission-critical objectives. This engineer will be tasked with maintaining awareness of market and technology trends to bring new and best-of-breed solutions to our customers. This position requires full-time work onsite at our Tampa, FL location. No telework is available. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with Active DoD TS/SCI. The minimum education/experience for a Senior Automation Systems Engineer is nine (9) years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM); seven (7) years with a Master's; four (4) years with a PhD. Note: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the design, deployment, and maintenance of distributed architecture systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission-critical objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of market and technology trends to bring new and best-of-breed solutions to customers.
  • Work onsite at the Tampa, FL location, ensuring full-time commitment to the role.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date.
  • Nine (9) years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in STEM; seven (7) years with a Master's; four (4) years with a PhD. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge in three or more areas such as Data Storage Technologies, Virtual Infrastructure, Network Engineering, Windows Systems Engineering, Linux Engineering, and Scripting/Automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or YAML.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
  • Knowledge of version control using code repositories (Bitbucket/Gitlab).
