About the position

The Senior Automotive IoT Account Executive at T-Mobile is responsible for driving new business acquisition in the automotive IoT sector. This role involves actively prospecting and cultivating relationships with automotive companies to implement connected car initiatives that enhance revenue and reduce costs. The position requires a consultative sales approach, leveraging extensive industry experience to manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying solutions to negotiating deals with C-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Drives new business acquisition for T-Mobile for Business by leveraging understanding of connected car technology and market competition.
  • Defines and implements sales plans to strategically build a network of key clients for target companies.
  • Achieves or exceeds assigned sales targets and other objectives.
  • Works internally with T-Mobile teams to respond to RFP/RFI inquiries and prepares for customer-facing presentations.
  • Negotiates and closes business deals, aligning actions with TFB and Company Vision, Mission, Strategy, and Objectives.
  • Develops strong relationships with C-Suite level executives to support customer success and adoption.
  • Maintains an accurate pipeline and forecast for revenue target achievement in CRM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology preferred.
  • 7-10 years of B2B sales experience selling technology solutions to Automotive OEMs.
  • 4-7 years of experience selling connected car or wireless technology services as a lead salesperson or Solutions Sales Engineer.
  • 4-7 years of experience in complex IoT, M2M solutions/applications.
  • Combination of ten years' sales and customer-facing technical solutions experience preferred.
  • Technologically proficient in IoT & automotive related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the IoT & connected car ecosystem including Infrastructure, Systems, Cloud, Edge Compute, Hardware/TCU, Modules, and Platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
