About the position

The Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect at Maximus is responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions specifically for Department of Defense (DoD) applications. This role emphasizes the use of AWS technology and requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture and management to enhance system performance and security across both classified and unclassified platforms. The position is contingent upon the award of the program.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud solutions aligned with DoD technical requirements, focusing on security and scalability.
• Analyze and improve current cloud processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Develop and optimize cloud architectures for various software applications across classified and unclassified systems.
• Provide technical guidance in AWS tools, including Kubernetes, EKS, and Lambda.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
• 10+ years of experience with AWS integrations, including container platforms and microservices.
• At least 3 years of recent & relevant experience with DoD AWS Unclassified, Secret & Top Secret cloud integrations, microservices and deployments.
• Experience in hybrid monolithic deployments using VMs, OVAs, EX2s & Kubernetes to manage container deployments.
• IAT II Certification.
• Must have 2 of the following certifications/trainings: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty.
