About the position

The Sr. AWS DevOps Lead at Infosys is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software systems to support business initiatives. This role involves interfacing with stakeholders, creating high-level design artifacts, and providing application support, including troubleshooting and testing. The position emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems.
  • Interface with key stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Create high-level design artifacts and provide application support.
  • Deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module.
  • Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
  • Automate and improve development and release processes.
  • Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.
  • Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
  • Work with software developers to ensure development follows established processes.
  • Plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop scripts to automate visualization and design procedures for system troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience in DevOps.
  • Experience with AWS services including Front Door, WAF, Service Bus, Functions, VNET, and Storage.
  • Proficient with Git and Git workflows.
  • Strong technical, hands-on experience to support development, automated testing, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Experience working with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container schedulers.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms like Confluent Kafka.
  • Understanding of DevOps and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent pull request review skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure cloud and implementations from a developer's perspective.
  • Familiarity with project tools: Jira, Confluence, Slack, MS Office, Point, Smartsheet.
