About the position

CGI is seeking a Sr. AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join their team in a hybrid role, primarily supporting the secondary mortgage industry. This position involves working in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with a cross-functional team to design and implement application components using emerging technologies. The developer will be responsible for coding, testing, and supporting the migration of software across various environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level and detailed design for application components.
• Implement business and technical requirements through application code.
• Develop and execute unit test cases.
• Support the migration of code through various environments.
• Assist in user testing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT industry experience.
• Senior-level enterprise Java development experience.
• 3-4 years of experience with Struts or Spring MVC and Hibernate.
• Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application frameworks.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong working experience with core Java APIs.
• Experience configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Oracle from a Java development standpoint.
• Ability to write batch or standalone jobs.
• Experience in Unix scripting.
• Experience in DB/SQL.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with AWS and AWS Certification is a must; experience in Python is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies beyond AWS.
