About the position

CGI is seeking a Sr. AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join their team in a hybrid role, primarily supporting the secondary mortgage industry. This position involves working in a fast-paced, agile environment, providing design and implementation expertise to a cross-functional software development team. The developer will be responsible for creating high-level designs, developing application code, executing unit tests, and supporting code migration and user testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-level and detailed design for application components.
  • Implement business and technical requirements through application code development.
  • Execute unit test cases to ensure code quality.
  • Support the migration of code through various environments.
  • Assist in user testing and provide necessary support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience.
  • Senior-level enterprise Java development experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience with Struts or Spring MVC and Hibernate.
  • Experience with AngularJS or other front-end web application frameworks.
  • Proficient in creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services.
  • Strong working experience with core Java APIs.
  • Experience configuring and deploying software on WebLogic and/or JBoss.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Oracle from a Java development standpoint.
  • Ability to write batch or standalone jobs.
  • Experience in Unix scripting and DB/SQL.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with AWS and AWS Certification is required; Python experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
