About the position

We are currently seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our Tax Technology practice. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational efficiency through the development and maintenance of automation scripts for managing the Azure environment. The Lead Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering Azure environments that support our mission-critical enterprise systems, ensuring their stability and security. As a Cloud DevOps subject matter expert, you will drive innovation and share your knowledge across the team. Your responsibilities will include creating and updating supporting documentation for processes and Cloud automated tools, promoting standardization and knowledge sharing. You will also handle Cloud patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation to ensure system security. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with the application team for the deployment of new and existing applications, fostering cross-functional teamwork and communication. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for managing the Azure environment, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Design, implement, and administer Azure environments that support mission-critical enterprise systems, ensuring system stability.
  • Serve as a Cloud DevOps subject matter expert, driving innovation and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Create and update supporting documentation for processes and Cloud automated tools, promoting standardization and knowledge sharing.
  • Handle Cloud patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation ensuring system security.
  • Collaborate closely with the application team for the deployment of new and existing applications, fostering cross-functional teamwork.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in Cloud DevOps, specifically with Azure environment management and engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, information technology, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience in developing automation scripts and managing large, mission-critical enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cloud patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills; great understanding of Azure Services, Network, and Security with experience working closely with application teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create and update supporting documentation for processes and Cloud automated tools.
