About the position

The Sr. Azure Security Engineer will be part of the Global Resilience, Security & Transformation (GRST) team, focusing on the continuous monitoring, implementation, and security operations of Azure cloud solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with industry best practices and NIST CSF requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop secure and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous monitoring, implementation, and security operations of Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, security analysts, and compliance teams, to develop secure architectures.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to address vulnerabilities in Azure solutions.
• Integrate security controls and monitoring mechanisms into Azure solutions.
• Participate in the selection and configuration of Azure services and tools, aligning them with NIST CSF compliance guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure and NIST CSF changes and industry trends, advising teams on impacts and necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document system requirements and design specifications for NIST CSF and/or SOX compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services with hands-on experience in architecting and implementing secure solutions.
• Experience with NIST CSF requirements, including frameworks, controls, and security processes.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles and tools, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure AD B2C, and OAuth.
• Expertise in cloud security practices: encryption, data protection, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience using and/or configuring Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps, ARM, Defender for Cloud, Ansible/Powershell, Terraform.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Kubernetes security operations is desirable.
