About the position

The Sr. Azure Cloud Information Security Engineer/Architect at Lam Research is responsible for leading the security operations and continuous monitoring of Azure cloud solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop secure architectures, performing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST CSF. The engineer will provide technical leadership, stay updated on Azure and NIST changes, and integrate security controls into Azure solutions to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous monitoring, implementation, and security operations of Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop highly secure and scalable architectures.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to address vulnerabilities in Azure solutions.
• Participate in the selection and configuration of Azure services and tools for NIST CSF compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure and NIST CSF changes and advise teams on necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document system requirements and design specifications for compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services with hands-on experience in architecting secure solutions.
• Experience with NIST CSF requirements, including frameworks and security processes.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles and tools, such as Azure Active Directory.
• Expertise in cloud security practices: encryption, data protection, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or CISSP.
• Hands-on experience with Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps, ARM, Defender for Cloud, Ansible, Powershell, and Terraform.
