About the position

The Sr. Azure Cloud Information Security Engineer/Architect at Lam Research is responsible for leading the security operations and continuous monitoring of Azure cloud solutions. This role ensures compliance with industry best practices and NIST CSF requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop secure and scalable architectures. The engineer will perform risk assessments, integrate security controls, and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous monitoring, implementation, and security operations of Azure cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop highly secure and scalable architectures.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to address vulnerabilities in Azure solutions.
• Participate in the selection and configuration of Azure services and tools for NIST CSF compliance.
• Stay updated with Azure and NIST CSF changes, advising teams on impacts and adjustments.
• Define and document system requirements and design specifications for compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams on security standards.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services with hands-on experience in architecting secure solutions.
• Experience with NIST CSF requirements, including frameworks and security processes.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles and tools, such as Azure Active Directory.
• Expertise in cloud security practices: encryption, data protection, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Strong communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or CISSP.
• Hands-on experience with Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps, ARM, Defender for Cloud, Ansible, Powershell, and Terraform.
