About the position
The Sr Backend Java Developer role focuses on developing and integrating backend solutions using Java and Couchbase DB. The position requires strong technical skills in Java, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases, with an emphasis on microservices architecture. The developer will engage with business users to gather requirements and communicate product features effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate backend solutions using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
- Implement Couchbase DB integration with Spring Data JPA and/or Couchbase SDK.
- Engage in microservices-based development.
- Review code and assist team members in development tasks.
- Familiarize with queuing systems like Kafka, SNS, and SQS.
- Utilize AWS services, particularly AWS Kinesis, for data processing.
- Integrate with ELK stack and NiFi as needed.
- Communicate effectively with business users to gather requirements and present product features.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
- Proficient in Couchbase DB integration with Spring Data JPA or Couchbase SDK.
- Experience in microservices-based development.
- Familiarity with queuing systems such as Kafka, SNS, and SQS.
- Good communication skills for business engagement.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Concourse, CI/CD, and JIRA.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks.
- Exposure to ELK stack and NiFi integration.
- AWS exposure, particularly in Kinesis.
