The Sr. BI Analyst, Revenue & Strategy will leverage their data analytics and business intelligence experience to collaborate with cross-functional teams in creating revenue strategies, analyzing key revenue streams, and uncovering hidden opportunities for the Los Angeles Kings. This role is pivotal in developing analytic solutions and actionable KPIs, as well as building reports or statistical models that will optimize ticket pricing, inventory management, and overall business strategy. The position will also involve participation in strategic pricing efforts, maintenance of revenue forecasting models, and close collaboration with stakeholders to align business intelligence initiatives with organizational goals. In terms of revenue recommendations, the analyst will work closely with the Director of Business Intelligence to forecast and recommend strategies that boost ticket sales and service. They will share insights with other analysts, ticketing leaders, and marketing teams to uncover hidden opportunities, while also analyzing and reporting on revenue streams with a focus on ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions. Conducting market research to identify industry trends and benchmarking performance against competitors will also be a key responsibility. The role requires effective stakeholder communication, keeping key stakeholders updated on game-related revenue metrics to optimize ticketing resources. The analyst will make recommendations on ticket revenue, inventory management, dynamic ticket pricing, and report key KPIs in sponsorships across LA Kings properties. In terms of reporting and real-time analytics, the analyst will build actionable KPIs and create production-quality dashboards and reports using tools like PowerBI, SQL, and Python to communicate business strategy results. They will develop near-real-time revenue analytics to identify revenue patterns and perform near-real-time analysis of game ticket inventory to allocate and adjust ticket prices. Attendance at games on nights and weekends will be required for real-time gameday reporting. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, ensuring the delivery and presentation of essential reports to the sales team, including daily sales reports and season ticket renewal trackers. The analyst will gather requirements, validate data, and enhance insights while acting as a liaison between revenue departments and business intelligence, aligning strategies with business objectives. Presenting reports and analysis to stakeholders will also be a key part of the role. Data management responsibilities include working with the Data Engineering team to structure data for analysis and resolve discrepancies, as well as communicating findings and next steps to leadership when issues arise. The analyst will participate in and help lead annual strategic pricing efforts for season and single-game tickets, developing and maintaining revenue forecasting models to support budget planning and financial projections. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations teams will be necessary to optimize pricing strategies and promotional activities to achieve revenue targets and growth, alongside support for ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
