About the position

The Senior BI Analyst will play a crucial role in designing and implementing high-performance data visualization solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position involves mentoring junior team members and establishing development standards for enterprise-wide BI initiatives. The role is a 9-month contract with potential for extension, focusing on scalability and efficiency in analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to conduct iterative user design sessions, creating rapid solution prototypes.
• Partner with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to define and implement optimal BI solutions that deliver actionable insights.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on development best practices, fostering knowledge transfer within the team.
• Design and architect data visualization solutions for large-scale projects, ensuring performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving sessions to align on project solutions that balance stakeholder requirements.
• Provide regular project status updates, escalate issues, and communicate project risks to represent the interests of the Visualization Team.
• Establish and maintain data visualization governance and development standards, continuously improving solution quality and efficiency across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; in lieu of degree, 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BI Analyst or in a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and extensive experience in data visualization (Power BI and/or Tableau).
• Experience with payment integrity and Snowflake is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Facets (healthcare platform) is strongly preferred.
