About the position

The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer will be a key member of the Non-Clinical BI Team, responsible for assessing client requirements and designing data sourcing strategies to develop and implement effective BI content. This role serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with Data Administrators and Data Architects to ensure proper management of BI assets. The developer will also prepare and deliver training for end-users and team members, while managing BI-related incident tickets and facilitating software upgrades and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality BI contents that meet business needs independently.
  • Promote consistent use of BI contents and calculations; recommend standards and best practices.
  • Assist in gathering information and supporting data governance processes.
  • Analyze data usage and interpret it against requirements.
  • Capture source data characteristics and abstract them into a consolidated data repository with proper data lineage and change control.
  • Determine logical design characteristics and information management strategies for data storage and movement.
  • Create, vet, and publish data sources for common use in BI tools like Tableau, Crystal, and EPIC reporting products.
  • Gather, document, and design data integration and visualization requirements for projects.
  • Assist BI content creators in generating impactful, interactive visualizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
  • 3 years of experience with advanced report writing using SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Clarity report writer, or similar relational database concepts.
  • Epic Cogito, Clarity, or Caboodle certification required (Access and HIM preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Epic and marketing analytics experience preferred.
