About the position

The Sr. BI Developer at Niagara is a key role responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of critical Business Intelligence reports and dashboards. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translating them into technical specifications. The developer will utilize their expertise to create ETL processes, reports, and dashboards, ensuring they meet business needs and maintain high performance and availability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business meetings to gather reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Translate business requirements into specifications for reports and dashboards.
• Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations & Support team.
• Provide support to ensure the availability and performance of reports and dashboards.
• Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented.
• Work closely with offshore teams and participate in scrum calls.
• Provide technical assistance and cross-training to team members.
• Provide training, user documentation, and assistance to end users.
• Design and implement technology best practices and repeatable processes.
• Understand Data Sources and Data Modeling concepts to enhance the existing Data Warehouse.
• Collaborate with Oracle ERP Analyst to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Provide guidance on best practices for reporting solutions.
• Coach and mentor team members to facilitate their professional development.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in OBIEE, BI Apps, OTBI, ODI, Informatica.
• 7-10 years of experience building complex reports/dashboards.
• 5-7 years of experience with OBIEE repository (RPD) for all layers.
• 5-7 years of experience with Data Modeling, Data Mart design, ETL Architecture.
• 5-7 years of experience with ODI Mappings, Interfaces, Packages, Knowledge modules.
• 5-7 years of experience with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, EAM modules in BI Apps.
• 5-7 years of experience implementing security in OBIEE.
• 2-4 years of experience in performance tuning of ETL processes, reports/dashboards.
• 2-4 years of experience with PL/SQL to support ETL processes.
• 2-4 years of experience with Java programming.

Nice-to-haves

• 10+ years of experience in OBIEE, BI Apps, OTBI, ODI, Informatica.
