About the position

The Business Intelligence Liaison / Developer at At Home is responsible for building relationships with business units and serving as the primary BI contact. This role involves transforming business requirements into effective business intelligence solutions, including Power BI reports, dashboards, and database modeling. The position requires collaboration with business users to identify requirements, support testing, and provide training, ensuring the quality and accuracy of BI deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with user groups to determine reporting needs and translate those needs into deliverables.
• Develop complex SQL queries on MS SQL Server.
• Create complex reports and dashboards using Power BI, providing insights and recommendations.
• Connect Power BI Desktop to various data sources effectively.
• Perform unit testing and validation for all deliverables before handover to business users.
• Optimize reports, cube processing, stored procedures, and SQL queries for performance.
• Verify and reconcile data for accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of experience developing complex SQL queries on MS SQL Server.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in creating complex reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Excellent knowledge of connecting Power BI Desktop to various data sources.
• Strong skills in writing complex DAX queries.
• Good understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
