The Sr. Business Systems Analyst at Athene plays a crucial role in the Data Integrations team, focusing on eliciting, analyzing, and documenting both business and technical needs for strategic projects and production support initiatives. This position is essential for managing projects that span multiple business areas, characterized by medium to large complexity, ambiguity, urgency, risk, and technical and regulatory sophistication. The analyst will also be responsible for the initial triage of incidents and conducting investigative technical and business rule research as part of production support. In this role, the Sr. Business Systems Analyst will lead the analysis efforts for assigned programs and projects, coordinating the work of other business system analysts as necessary. Acting as a liaison, the analyst will facilitate communication among various business and IT stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed. The position reports directly to the Manager of Software Development, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and effective communication within the team. The analyst will support projects that involve inbound application processing and the downstream integration with other impacted systems. This includes managing sophisticated projects that encompass multiple multi-functional business areas, fostering relationships, and leading interviews with business and technology partners to gather comprehensive needs and identify potential interdependencies. The role also involves partnering with Product Owners to identify requirements for system and process enhancements, capturing user requirements, and translating them into user stories for product teams. Additionally, the Sr. Business Systems Analyst will analyze business problems, propose creative solutions, facilitate business process redesigns, and participate in vendor requests for information or proposals (RFI/RFPs). The position requires a proactive approach to change management, encouraging others through transitions while managing conflicts effectively. Continuous improvement of business analysis capabilities is a key focus, along with the ability to tailor messages to suit different audiences.
