About the position

The Amazon Exports (AE) team is dedicated to providing customers worldwide with a seamless shopping experience that aligns with Amazon's commitment to vast selection, competitive pricing, and convenience. This role is pivotal in driving growth in emerging markets through strategic partnerships and innovative promotions. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing partner-funded promotions that enhance the shopping experience for Amazon.com customers globally. In this dynamic position, you will wear multiple hats, engaging in both business development and program management. Your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging potential new clients to join our promotions program, while also managing the day-to-day operations to ensure that both partners and customers receive an exceptional experience. You will thrive in this role if you are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality promotions at attractive prices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a talent for simplifying processes to boost team productivity. This global role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, both internal and external, and may involve international travel. You will be expected to collaborate with external partners to develop promotion plans and oversee the entire promotion process, ensuring that marketing materials align with Amazon's brand guidelines. Additionally, you will track key performance metrics to meet business KPIs, including customer acquisition and revenue targets, and present promotion performance to stakeholders through regular meetings and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and close new partnerships across a variety of international regions to join our promotions program to create compelling offers for international customers
  • Identify, propose and implement strategies to grow your business across a variety of international regions
  • Collaborate with external partners to build promotion plans and execute the end-to-end promotion process
  • Work with internal and external teams to source, create, and approve customer-facing marketing materials that adhere to Amazon's Brand Guidelines
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to help meet business KPIs, including customer acquisition and revenue targets
  • Identify and evangelize opportunities to improve processes to increase overall team efficiency
  • Present and explain promotion performance to internal and external stakeholders through weekly meetings, business reviews and reports

Requirements

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
