About the position

Ingredion is seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Associate Product Manager to join the Digital Innovation team within the Global Innovation Group, based in Bridgewater, NJ. This role is pivotal in the development, optimization, and maintenance of data management and AI/ML platforms aimed at enhancing product innovation, design, and the development of next-generation food and industrial ingredients. The incumbent will engage in various activities that include leading discovery sessions to document business processes, defining software requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with business goals to deliver an optimal user experience. The successful candidate will create user stories that document functional and technical specifications along with acceptance criteria. They will also develop preliminary User Interface designs based on gathered requirements, breaking down complex functionalities into structured and intuitive UI elements. Effective communication of requirements to software development resources is essential to aid in the design of both front-end and back-end solutions. The role requires managing multiple work streams, assessing priorities, managing timelines, and delivering complete and accurate work products. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst/Associate Product Manager will develop and conduct comprehensive test cases and persona-based testing scenarios to ensure that all developed functionalities meet business needs and acceptance criteria. They will administer and maintain the platforms, identify opportunities for streamlining operations, introduce automation, and improve the customer journey. Implementing standards and processes to maintain data integrity and optimize systems is also a key responsibility. The role includes providing support and guidance to the R&D team and developers on best practices and methodologies for software development, as well as developing data visualization capabilities using self-service visualization tools like Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions to establish and document business processes that will be implemented in the software platforms.
• Define software requirements through interactions with key Innovation Stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimal user experience.
• Create user stories, documenting functional and technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Develop preliminary User Interface design based on gathered requirements, breaking down complex functionality into structured, intuitive UI.
• Communicate requirements to key software development resources to aid in application design for front and back-end solutions.
• Manage multiple work streams, assessing priorities, managing timelines, and delivering complete, accurate work products.

• Ensure that the software meets project objectives and customer expectations.

• Provide support and guidance to the R&D team and the developers on best practices and methodologies for software development.
• Develop data visualization capabilities using self-service visualization tools, like Power BI.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in technology services and/or software development.
• Demonstrated record of working as a business analyst in development and successful delivery of digital products.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is highly recommended.
• UI/UX development experience is highly recommended.
• Proficient in the use of DevOps, Jira, and UI/UX software applications (e.g., FIGMA).
• Track record of developing, optimizing, or working on scientific platforms for research & development and/or food manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Working experience in R&D organizations within the food or manufacturing industry is a plus.
