About the position

As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will leverage your strategic and analytical skills to address significant company challenges. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and test strategies that impact the company's bottom line, particularly focusing on the Emerging Risk Analytics team. This role involves analyzing credit risk impacts from various emerging risks, including climate scenarios, and contributing to the Commercial Bank's analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and present emerging risk analyses.
• Own specific analyses and sub-processes, contributing to team discussions on credit risks.
• Develop relationships across the Commercial Bank, Risk, and Finance organizations to build buy-in for the team's outputs.
• Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement through analysis.
• Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products.
• Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for products distributed through retail channels.
• Connect drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior to support improvements in credit performance.
• Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analyze, and lead implementation efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
• At least 1 year of experience in analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building.
• 1+ years of experience in market research.
• 1+ years of experience in SQL querying.
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis.
• 1+ years of experience in consulting.
