About the position

Inspire Medical Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA / PM) to join our Corporate & Operations Applications team. This role is pivotal in providing both process and technical business analysis skills while leading small to mid-size projects within the Operations functions, which include Supply Chain and Customer Service. The successful candidate will engage closely with functional business users and the Information Services (IS) team, ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured and translated into actionable project plans. As a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager, you will be responsible for liaising with business teams and senior management to define business requirements, information models, workflows, test cases, and business cases for Microsoft Business Central and other solutions in the Operations and Supply Chain space. You will review functional design documents, user stories, and other artifacts to ensure they align with business needs. Your role will also involve managing small to medium-sized Operations projects from initiation to closure, which includes solution selection, planning, execution, deployment, and stakeholder communication. You will be highly accountable for delivering quality solutions on time and within budget, serving as a point of contact for teams and ensuring constructive collaboration. In addition to project management, you will stay updated on the latest features and best practices, recommending improvements or enhancements as necessary. You will also develop and maintain process documentation, onboard and train Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and facilitate team retrospectives aimed at fostering growth in process and culture. Your work will contribute to developing standardized solutions that address problems and improve productivity and profitability through technology. You may also work on ERP enhancements and incidents in other business functions as needed, ensuring that appropriate quality documentation is created as required.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with business teams and senior management to capture and define business requirements, information models, workflows, test cases, and business cases for Microsoft Business Central and other solutions in the Operations and Supply Chain space.
  • Review functional design documents, user stories, and other functional artifacts to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Provide functional and process knowledge and oversight for concurrently running projects and evaluate best practices as well as process alignment.
  • Manage small to medium size Operations projects from initiation to closure, including solution selection, initiation, planning, execution, deployment, hypercare, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Serve as a point of contact and escalation for teams, ensuring team actions remain in constructive collaboration.
  • Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices, and recommend improvements or enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for the team.
  • Onboard, train, and support Business Analysts and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
  • Facilitate team retrospectives targeting growth in process and culture.
  • Work to develop and standardize solutions to address problems, improve productivity, profitability, and business processes through technology.
  • Work on ERP enhancements and incidents in other business functions as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate Quality documentation is created as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years working as a Business Analyst in Operations and Supply Chain or a comparative role.
  • Experience on 5+ ERP implementations with direct deliverables in the Supply Chain space.
  • Experience authoring quality validation deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters' degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • 9 years working as a business analyst in Operations and Supply Chain.
  • At least 5 years experience working in a regulated medical device company.
  • Experience in and strong understanding of Supply Chain processes including MRP, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Experience in and strong understanding of Customer Service / sales order management.
  • Willingness to learn Supply Chain/Operations technologies and new ERP, including Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing environments, learn quickly and teach others.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; possesses strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps.
  • Strong process mapping, systemic thinking, and problem-solving ability.
  • Global experience.
