About the position

The Sr Business Analyst in Provider Data Management is responsible for analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from various sources to provide insights for decision-making. This role involves identifying trends, constructing forecasts, and creating strategic plans based on business data. The analyst collaborates with clients to tailor reports and analysis to meet specific needs, participates in management reviews, and ensures the accuracy of provider data for timely claims payment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to provide insights.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs.
• Collaborate with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports.
• Participate in management reviews, presenting and interpreting analysis results.
• Ensure provider data accuracy and completeness for timely claims payment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of business analysis experience.
• 6+ years of managed care experience.
• Proficiency in various concepts, practices, and procedures related to business analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• 3-5 years of formal training in Project Management.
• Past direct provider interaction experience.
• Experience working with complex, highly technical teams.
• Medicaid or Medicare Provider Service Experience.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification preferred.
