About the position

The Sr Business Analyst position focuses on investment and asset management, requiring extensive experience in accounting and finance. The role involves leading and mentoring a team, analyzing investment results, and streamlining reporting processes. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders and financial systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and support the organization's financial results preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and research investment results, identifying data issues and root causes, and summarizing findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the accurate, timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual book close cycles.
  • Understand data flow through various financial systems and consolidate financial results reported by multiple systems.
  • Identify areas for improvements and streamline reporting processes through automation.
  • Participate in broad projects by providing technical accounting expertise.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships within LMI, Corporate Finance, and external auditors.
  • Handle audits for the Investment function.
  • Connect with Brokers and Custodians as needed.
  • Document investment job flows in flowcharts and coordinate with various squads to understand business/job flow.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in investment analysis and asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, equities, and trade strategies.
  • Experience in executing fixed income trades.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, data flow, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with investment management software like Simcorp and CAMRA.
  • Familiarity with applications like Aladdin, Bloomberg, Reuters, and Cogencis.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
