About the position
The Sr. Business Analyst will take end-to-end ownership of business analysis, project management, and functional testing activities for assigned projects, particularly in the capital markets or custodial services domain. This role requires expertise in various messaging standards and asset classes, ensuring timely project progress and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Act as a specialist for projects, taking end-to-end ownership of business analysis.
- Manage project management and functional testing activities for assigned projects.
- Map client data formats to an internal defined data format.
- Utilize knowledge of Bloomberg XML or FpML message formats.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, and Repos.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure timely project progress.
- Assist development teams in resolving issues and bottlenecks.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proactively drive successful implementation of projects within defined timelines.
Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in capital markets or custodial services.
- Strong knowledge of messaging standards including SWIFT, FIX, and XML.
- Experience with asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, and Repos.
- Familiarity with SWIFT message types MT54X and MT54Y used for securities settlement.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
