About the position

The Sr. Business Analyst position at KeyBank is focused on maintaining the quality and integrity of critical customer-level data for the Small Business segment. This role involves data manipulation, preparation, and validation, ensuring data quality across various systems including Master Data Management (MDM) and Salesforce CRM. The analyst will act as a Subject Matter Expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes through data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client data attributes conform to established requirements
• Monitor data changes and maintain client records
• Define data critical attributes and partner with the Line of Business to develop data standards, procedures, and policies for master data
• Resolve and escalate data quality issues to correct problems at the source where possible
• Implement and lead data cleansing activities
• Participate in regularly scheduled and ad hoc Data Steward meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions
• Participate in training and meetings to facilitate the sharing of data across functional areas and understanding of stewardship best practices
• Ability to build strategies on data initiatives
• Responsible for the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across the organization
• Work with the business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business impact, user requirements and feasibility of data management solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage data-driven opportunities for business process optimization
• Engage with teams across various functions and regions to address data related issues and support their data needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of data analysis experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.) and PowerPoint
• Data visualization
• Data mining techniques
• Project management skills
• Exposure to data integration
• Intermediate SQL skills

Nice-to-haves

• System knowledge in Salesforce, Master Data Management, Mainframe
• Familiar with and capacity for analytical programming

• Base salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually
