About the position

The Sr Business Data Analyst at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for applying analytics to develop and communicate actionable insights to the business. This role involves reporting, analyzing, and predicting operational processes and performance metrics, while collaborating with site leadership, operations, and finance to enhance efficiency and meet customer requirements. The analyst will utilize data modeling, visualization, and optimization techniques to influence decision-making and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate timely, accurate, and actionable insights through modeling, visualization, and optimization.
• Report, analyze, and predict operational processes and performance metrics.
• Communicate with site leadership, operations, and finance regarding efficiency and customer requirements.
• Apply hindsight, insight, and foresight techniques to influence action based on complex findings.
• Utilize spreadsheets, databases, and relevant software for ongoing analysis of operational activities.
• Implement data visualization techniques to decrease Cycle Time to Action (CTA).
• Assist site operations in identifying areas for service level improvements and cost reductions.
• Support account start-up analysis and report implementation as needed.
• Develop standardized and ad hoc reporting for sites and customers.
• Streamline and automate internal and external reporting processes.
• Investigate and recommend new technologies and information systems.
• Conduct feasibility analyses to increase operational efficiency.
• Partner with Finance to develop financial models for productivity and payroll analysis.
• Develop predictive models to aid decision-making.
• Design and implement data gathering and reporting methods for Operations.
• Coordinate with Operations Systems group to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Assist finance and senior leadership in modeling the yearly labor budget.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of analytics experience.
